Can I swirl a single glass?
Easily swirl a single portion using a stemless glass with a flat bottom. Swirling doesn’t work if the glass or decanter is concave or convex.
How long should I swirl my wine? Can I swirl too long?
We recommend swirling for a minimum of ten minutes. All red wines differ in tannin structure and sulfite content. Some red wines will continue to improve with swirls of up to sixty minutes. Lighter-bodied, less tannic red wine requires less swirling.
Wine can be over-aerated. The amount of time you swirl depends on your personal taste and wine structure.
Does Wine Swirl work with white wine?
Some people find that swirling white wine improves its flavor by decreasing contaminates such as sulfates.
How do I clean the base unit and carafe?
The carafe is dishwasher-safe. Use a sponge and non-abrasive soap to clean the base unit.
Do I need to remove the aerating bar?
It is important to remove the aerating bar to avoid ingestion or glass breakage.
Does the Wine Swirl work with any power source?
The Wine Swirl works only with a 110-watt power source. Do not attempt to use with any other power source.
